Akwa Ibom State governor, Udom Emmanuel has accused the new Commissioner of Police in the state of intimidating and indiscriminately arresting Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members. Speaking after voting at Awan Ward 1, Onna Local Government, yesterday, Emmanuel, who looked visibly worried, said: “The new Commissioner of Police sent to Akwa Ibom is working with three or four junior officers to harass innocent people. I think he was tricked into the army barracks and just kept there. I don’t know what they think one man can do. If he has any issue, I think it is just the police that should have questioned him.”
